How I can describe my dream of MSOLA in 6
years from now?
I
dream of MSOLA fully alive, whether the numbers are great or not, faithfully
passing on the treasure that we have received from our Founder, Mother Salome
and the sisters who have preceded us. I dream of MSOLA having lay associates.
Image which for me represents this: a well that never runs dry.

Though
few in number, we keep our interconnectedness to the realities around us in the
world by being “true Women Apostles” to others especially our fellow women who
are caught up in the unjust structures and situations; through
empowerment hence re-awaken their human dignity.

I
would dream of MSOLA growing more in terms of numbers, and growing in
choosing our priorities in the mission without being scattered in many places.
This will be a growth in acceptance of our reality. I also dream of MSOLA being more open to work with others especially with the local congregations and
the Church, a little bit tolerant to the young women interested to our Congregation, to the young professed sisters who leave us quiet often and
update somehow our formation program. I would dream again a MSOLA family who
thinks about the future in terms of financial needs. This will reduce the idea
of closing and selling houses because we believe in the future therefore, our
next generation needs those houses and how to live without depending only on
what our ancestors have left for us.

My
dream is that as a Congregation, the number will have increased since MVA now
is a responsibility of every sister. As someone who is working in a rescue home
and living in a culture where women are marginalized, my dream is that in six
year, we will have more sisters working purposely for the restoration of human
dignity especially for women and children. The symbol I have is a big tree with
many branches that provide a good shed, and I can see people resting under it
and the birds have built many nests for their homes.

My
dream is to see MSOLA being more diverse and dynamic yet living in unity
strengthened by their faith and prayer. I see a situation where we might close some communities in some countries, but only for some time in
order to reorganize our energies and readiness for dispersion again.

My
dream for MSOLA is life and my symbol is a baobab tree. It is a tree culturally
use in different ways for different purpose yet all towards life giving. One
can plant it using its seed of a piece of a stem no matter the season it does
not die easily it endures and stand all seasons. It doesn’t give up due to one
situation or the other, is ever ready for whatever comes its way in order to give life.
This is how I associate it with my dream for MSOLA no matter the setbacks we
are ever ready to give life never giving up unto challenges.

My
dream is that there should be consistency between who we claim to be and what
we say and the reality we live in our daily life. To live justice and equality
in our communities. In this way we can be true witnesses to the Gospel values
in our pastoral work and other commitments.
The
Trinity symbolizes my dream of MSOLA in six years from now. The unity of the
three Divine people, the way they complement each other is a perfect example to
live our charism and MSOLA life style wherever we are sent.

More
vocations from Europe and America
Opening
more missions where needs arise.
Continue to let the Holy Spirit enlighten our decisions for the choice of mission.
Equality.
For
the image I chose a pot on fire wood; the pot is the Congregation, the wood its members and the matches is our charism. The food inside is what each one
brings to be life giving to the world today. The one who cooks this food is
Jesus the owner of the mission.

In
six years to come, I hope that MSOLA will continue to have a fruitful structure
that helps each sister to give herself fully in the mission, sharing
responsibilities and helping one another to grow with tenderness.
I
dream that we will continue to have some more concrete MSOLA projects wherever
we are (E.g. Schools etc. or collaborate with other Institutions) and that we
will have more young women attracted by our Congregation, as each one commits
to promotes them to join us.
Maybe
to have a formation (Pre-postulants) house in Malawi or in Zambia that can
attract young girls from these two countries to join us.
If
we can have projects or communities built on our own lands.
To
be more visible in all aspects, being mission and dressing.
Symbol: The pelican: In each life, there is a sacrifice. The pelican sacrifices itself
to feed the young ones.

As
a symbol I have chosen a balloon, that we will move with the Spirit, reading
the signs of the time, exploring new ways, being courageous, united by the same
vocation, though maybe at times dispersed.

The
symbol which can use to represent MSOLA in 6 years to come is a salt. Looking
at the numbers, we may not be many but what gives more hope is our ways of
collaboration with others, and being creative to adapt according to the
situation in which we find ourselves, these are our strength as MSOLA. We are
able to work with others and give life. The salt does not need to be a lot in
order to give taste to the food.

My
symbol is a kettle: When it gets enough it shares or gives out. In
community and apostolate my dream is sisters sharing their gifts, talents,
being, materials, ideals and all what we have. To reach and attract girls to
join us i.e. MVA. We learn a lot especially in the initial formation, after
that, it’s time to give personally and collectively as a community.

I
dream of MSOLA as a new seed put in the soil beginning to grow anew in the
remote areas where primary evangelization is important and where ever we may
be, the family apostolate of our beginnings stressed on.

I
can describe my dream of MSOLA in six years from now as a tree: for it growth,
the tree needs water, sun. There have been times when it seems to be dry, not
having enough water maybe but once the rain comes, this tree will look new,
plenty of potential and it always bear nice fruits. In it I see the wonder of
the Lord. So it is my hope with MSOLA though we are complaining about our
numbers, if we trust in God, we shall be life giving, never mind our number.

I
see MSOLA six years from now with more young people joining and working on
projects where we live out the MSOLA charism to the full. The symbol that
represents it is a tree that has grown over the years being exposed to the
different weather patterns of the time.
